Hi Everyone!
Spring has sprung and kidding season has nearly begun here at Winsome Farmstead! Today was our first due date for our girls so the kids should be coming very soon.
In preparation we have built a new barn for our expecting mothers! It took two long weeks of digging post holes, mixing concrete, hanging rafters, checking the levels, but it was actually lots of fun and we got it done right in time!
The barn has a main compartment for the does which opens up to the pasture, a cozy stall for the does in labor and a roomy kid pen with a gate to a little play paddock (which is still being finished). The girls are spending their first night there tonight! I'll post pictures soon..
